Our Founding Board of Directors

Lisa Dolce, Founder and President

In 2009, Lisa saw the need for specialized career services for women and the lack of services that were currently being offered in the Baltimore metro region.  She brought together a dynamic group of people that shared her vision to create a place women could go for customized services that optimized each woman’s unique potential.  She brings her 15 years of career coaching and business management experience, and her lifelong commitment to helping women in transition, to build this progressive center that focuses on the unique needs of women.

Becky Lessey, Vice-President

Becky has over 20 years of career and workforce development within the community. A long-time resident and employee in the county, Becky brings an understanding of the area and many personal contacts within the workforce development community. Becky recently retired from Howard Community College and in 2010 was inducted into the Howard County Commission for Women’s Hall of Fame.

Kristin Mentz, Secretary

Kristin has over 10 years of marketing and proposal writing experience. As the current Administrator of the Women’s Giving Circle of Howard County she understands the needs of women in the area as well as a large network of individuals involved in the community. Kristin is active in Chi Omega sorority, the Domestic Violence Center Communications Committee, her church, and the local PTA.

Penny Anderson, Treasurer

Penny brings many years of experience of nonprofit organization financial management to her work with PEC. An active member of the community, her volunteer work and contacts bring an understanding of the needs of the women in Howard County. Penny has worked for the United Way and is a former board member of the Association of Baltimore Area Grantmakers.

Theo Bell, Director, Director at Large

Theo brings a diversity of experiences to Pinnacle. He is a veteran of the U. S. Army, a business owner, and an active member of the community. He is the past president of the Federal Real Property Association and a member of the board of Luke’s Wings. He’s also active with the Fort Meade Alliance and is involved with the community preparing for the changes related to the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC). He brings a long range vision of the future of the community to the Pinnacle Empowerment Center.
